Norman Pankratz, 95, passed away on May 13, 2024, in North Newton, Kansas.
Norman Pankratz was born on January 12, 1929, in Goessel, KS, to Albert and Helen (Unrau) Pankratz.
Norman graduated from Lehigh High School and went on to Bethel College and Emporia State Teachers College. He taught high school science at Scott City, Radium, and Hesston.
Norman married Lorrayne Pankratz on March 25, 1954, in Pawnee Rock, Kansas. The couple were married for 68 years at the time of Lorrayne's passing in 2022.
There was not a tree, flower or mountain that Norman did not know and love. Family Vacations, Audubon bird counts and going to Quivira Wildlife Refuge made him happy.
Norman is survived by daughter, Andrea Unruh (Merrill Unruh); three grandchildren Elizabeth Unruh, Carolyn Perkins (Bobby Perkins) and Sarah Unruh ( Jonathan Vernickas) and two great-grandchildren Ella and Fitz Perkins.
Family and Friends are invited to a faspa for Norman Pankratz on Sunday June 2 at 4:00 at Faith Mennonite Church, Newton, KS.
