Terry Gale Wray |1956-2023|

Terry Gale Wray, age 67, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023. 

He was born on October 10, 1956 in Hutchinson, KS, the son of the late Gerald and Bessie Wray. He married Sheryl Wray (Dahlke) on August 7, 1982. Terry was a 1974 graduate of Hutchinson Sr. High School and served 4 years in the U.S. Navy including time on the U.S.S. Forrestal. After his time in the Navy, he spent his career in the printing industry, retiring from Custom Printing. 

Terry was an active member of Trinity Lutheran in Menasha and was involved in their choir, dinner theatre, helped with their sound systems, and served on many committees. He was very active with the Boy Scouts of America, serving as a leader for both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for many years. Terry was also a coach for his son’s baseball teams, participated in Sing Out Reno County & People International Incorporated. 

Terry enjoyed World of Outlaws Sprint Car racing, puzzles, and bringing joy to children as one of Santa’s many helpers. 

He is survived by his wife, Sheryl and three sons, Tim (Teresa) Wray of South Bend, IN, Chris (Jenn) Wray of Sheboygan, and Joe (Chelsea) Wray of Burkburnett, TX; six grandchildren – Skyler Knisely, Tegan Wray, Parker Wray, Allison Wray, Madelyn Wray & Mackenzie Bolado. 

He is further survived by many brother & sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his immediate family of his parents, Gerald & Bessie Wray, step-father Johnny Friesen, half-sister Betty Killian, and half-brother Larry Conley. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church (300 Broad St) Menasha. Friends and family may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 am to 11 am. Burial will be at the Rosendale Cemetery.
