NEOSHO COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 10p.m. Thursday in Neosho County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Toyota Corolla driven by Danny R. Romine, 68, Chanute, was eastbound on Kansas 39 highway one mile west of Chanute.
The Toyota crossed the center line. The Toyota and a westbound 2020 Freightliner semi driven by Donald B. Blair, 58, Freedon, Indiana, collided.
Romine was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Countryside Funeral Home. Blair was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
