Rodney James “Rod” Renollet, 86, of Inman, Kansas, passed away May 30, 2024, at The Arbors at Waldron Place, Hutchinson, Kansas.

He was born October 22, 1937, in Sterling, Kansas, the son of Roy Ray and Anna Belle (Fenwick) Renollet.

Rod has resided in Inman since 2019, formerly of Sterling. He graduated from Sterling High School with the class of 1955. Rod was a chief operator in the Fractionation industry for over thirty-five years, retiring from Koch Industries in 2002. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Hutchinson and attended the Inman Mennonite Church.

On November 15, 1959, Rod was united in marriage with Betty Louise White in Sterling. She preceded him in death on September 22, 2016. He is also preceded in death by his parents; son, Mike Renollet; three brothers, Hank Renollet, J.R. Renollet, and Lyle Renollet; sister, Joyce Renollet; and grandson, Clayton Renollet.

Rod is survived by his son, Rich Renollet and wife Annmarie of Bel Aire, KS; two daughters, Kim Hendrickson and husband Bill of Buhler, KS, and Mary Norris and husband Jack of Inman, KS; two brothers, Gene Renollet and wife Alice of Platte City, MO, and Bob Renollet and wife Joan of Lyons, KS; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Inman Mennonite Church, with Pastor Harold Nelson officiating. Burial will be at the Sterling Community Cemetery. Rod was an avid Kansas City Royals fan, the family suggests wearing casual Royals attire in honor of him.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 1, at 1:30 until service time at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Association of Central & Western Kansas in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
