
Doroteo “Don” Graham, 91, passed away on April 17, 2023 at Legend of Hutchinson Senior Living, Hutchinson, KS surrounded by his family. He was born on December 1, 1931 in Guadalupita, NM, the son of Max and Maria (Torres) Graham.
In 1949, Don enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged. On May 28, 1972, Don married Mary Hernandez in Hutchinson. Don worked for Western Electric where he was an installer for 18 years and then he worked as an installation supervisor for 13 years. After 31 years of service he retired in 1983. Don was a talented wood carver and taught wood carving seminars at Hutch Rec Center. Don was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe, South Hutchinson. He was very active in his church and ran the church stand at the Kansas State Fair.
Don is survived by his daughter, Gail Richard; son, Bruce Graham; granddaughter, Emily Richard; great granddaughter, Aubrey Olson; great-great grandson, Silas Olson; and nephew, Randy Graham.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; brothers, Joe, Phillip, Eddie, Alfonso, and Hugh Graham, Gene and Tony Pacheco; sisters, Emma Graham, Vergie Gonzales and Juanita Pacheco; and grandson, Adam Capps.
Parish Rosary service will be Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 612 S. Maple, South Hutchinson, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., with Father Eric Weldon officiating. Burial will be at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of Guadalupe and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS 67502.
