Betty Jean Burgess, age 93, met her Lord and Savior and husband Keith, on June 19, 2023, at the Parklane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on February 8, 1930, to George P. & Grace Bush Graham in Scott City, Kansas. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas, and a lifelong resident of Scott City. She was a dental assistant for almost twenty years, then became a secretary for KB Sprayers. She was a member of the Maranatha Singers, beloved Sunday School Teacher for many years and was involved in numerous Bible Studies and prayer groups.

On December 3, 1950, she married Ronald Keith Burgess in Scott City, Kansas, he passed away on August 24, 2021, in Scott City, Kansas. Betty is survived by her daughter - Susan and beloved son-in-law, Terry Rose of Scott City, Kansas, one grandson - Neil & Jenny Rose of Scott City, Kansas, two grand-daughters - Darci & Brent Cain of Manhattan, Kansas, Breva & Josh Spencer of Manhattan, Kansas, three great-granddaughters - Jacy and Tara Rose of Scott City, Kansas, Khloe Spencer of Manhattan, Kansas, and two great-grandsons - Tegan Cain and Ryker Spencer of Manhattan, Kansas, two sister-in-law - Patsi Graham & Bobbie Burgess of Scott City, Kansas, and numerous neices & nephews. 

Betty is proceeded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters, Mary Alice Dean, Louise Crist, LuCille Duff, and one brother Tom Graham.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas, with the Rev. Jeff Goetzinger and Rev. Dennis Carter presiding. Services will be live-streamed at www.priceandsons.com

Memorials can be written to the Parklane Nursing Home or the Keith & Betty Jean Burgess Aviation Scholarship Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 553, Scott City, Kansas.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 22, from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, June 23, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. 

Interment will be at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
