Registered Kansas offender jailed on new allegations

JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. —Law enforcement are investigating a registered Kansas drug offender on new allegations after a traffic stop.

Just after 4p.m. on April 28, a sheriff's deputy arrested a man near Mayetta for multiple offender registration violations, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

Brexton Everett, 33, of Topeka, who had been driving a 2006 Buick Rendezvous, was taken into custody and transported to the Jackson County Jail. Everett was booked on 14 counts of aggravated offender registration violations and two counts of offender registration violations.

Everett has been listed as a registered drug offender since 2013 for drug distribution convictions in Riley County, according to the KBI Offender Registry.
