Former McPherson County corrections deputy arrested

MCPHERSON COUNTY, Kan. — Following an incident in January, an investigation was initiated by the McPherson County Sheriff’s Office in reference to the introduction of contraband into the McPherson County Jail and distributing the contraband to an inmate(s).

During the investigation, Cheyenne Ratley, who was a McPherson County Corrections Deputy at the time of the incident, was identified as a suspect.

Ratley has been arrested and charged with Introduction of Contraband into a Correctional Institution by a Correctional Officer and is currently awaiting extradition back to Kansas.
