RENO COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Reno County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2023 Nissan Kicks driven by Lonnie D. Hook, 53, Cullison, was southbound on Kansas 61 just south of Partridge.
The vehicle crossed the center line directly in front of a 2016 Peterbilt semi driven by Lemuel Fontanez, 52, Whitney, Texas. The vehicles collided head-on.
EMS transported Hook to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Fontanez was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
