
LIBERAL, Kan. — No. 15 Hutchinson (23-4, 18-3) used back-to-back-to-back threes, from three different players, to start the second half on an 11-0 run against Seward (7-20, 5-16) Saturday night.
Kam Thomas, J.P. Ricks and Landon Wagler each knocked down a triple to put Hutchinson up 45-28.
The three by Thomas was the only one he hit all night.
Thomas finished with 13 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks, but the league's best three-point shooter went just 1-of-10 from distance and 4-of-18 from the floor.
Tino Simon just missed a double-double with his 19 points and nine rebounds.
Kernan Bundy scored six of his 10 points from the free-throw line, where he was 6-of-7.
Jaden Martin and Dave Olaniyi scored 15 each for Seward.
Hutchinson outrebounded Seward 49-31 and scored 21 points on 14 Saint turnovers.

The Blue Dragons return to the Sports Arena Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 7:30 p.m. for Sophomore Night vs. Coffeyville (11-16, 7-14).
