Two longtime Hutch Rec employees to retire

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Recreation Commission announced Monday that two longtime employees, Bo & Toyla Frondorf, will be retiring on Dec. 31, 2021.

Bo Frondorf began his career with Hutch Rec in July 1991 as the agency’s finance director. During his tenure of 30 years, Frondorf has overseen the agency’s finances, as well as taken the lead role in information/technology (IT) services and assisted in human resources.

Toyla Frondorf began her career with Hutch Rec in August 1999 as the agency’s Special Populations superintendent, where she oversaw programming and activities for youth and adult adaptive recreation. In August 2007, Toyla also took on programming and activities at the Senior Center at Elmdale Park. She retires as the superintendent of senior recreation.

A public come-and-go reception for the Frondorf's will take place on Thursday, Dec. 16, from 4-6 p.m. at Hutch Rec Downtown, 17 E. 1st.
