HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The quarterly earnings parade for companies with ties to Hutchinson and Reno County comes to a close on Thursday when Kroger releases its first quarter report.
The parent company of Dillons will try to keep the numbers moving upward as it reported sales of $33 billion in the fourth quarter, compared to $30.7 billion for the same period last year. Total company sales, excluding fuel, increased 3.7% compared to the same period last year.
Earnings per share totaled $3.68 compared with $3.47 per share in 2021 and operating profit totaled $3.5 billion compared with $2.8 billion the previous year.
The numbers are expected before the bell Thursday morning.
