SALINE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating as suspicious the death of a person whose body was found in north Salina Monday.

At 10:30 a.m. Monday, police dispatch received a call from a person who reported finding a body in the 1900 block of N. Fifth Street, according to a media release. Officers responded and located the body.

It was apparent the individual had been dead for several days, according to the release.&nbsp; Police have not yet identified the person.

"This unattended death is being investigated as suspicious, and at this time, the cause of death is unknown."

Police are asking for the public's help regarding this case.
