Daniel Dean Cochrane, 71, entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on July 5, 2026, in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Born on October 11, 1954, Dan lived a life rooted in faith, love and devotion to his family and country.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Cochrane Sr. and Evelyn Cochrane; his brothers, Durward Thomas and Frederick Cochrane Jr.; and his sisters, Florine Doty and Beverly Harriman.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Cochrane; his siblings, Earlene Woods, George (Mary Ann) Cochrane, Dale Cochrane, Jim Cochrane and Mary (Terry) Bennett; his children, Jeremiah Cochrane and Jennifer (Justin) Crane; his stepson, Bill (Caitlin) Casey; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

After 23 years at Sonoco Paper Mill, Dan retired and fulfilled his dream of traveling the country with Lisa, creating cherished memories along the way.

A man of unwavering faith, Dan loved the Lord, enjoyed reading and treasured every moment with those he loved. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, determination, stubbornness and unmistakable sense of humor.

Though he will be deeply missed, Dan’s legacy of compassion, perseverance and laughter will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.

A private family memorial will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 1 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery near Hoisington. Following the service, family and friends are invited to an informal gathering beginning at 1:15 p.m. at Carriage Crossing to share memories and celebrate Dan’s life.

Guests are kindly asked to purchase their own meals.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
