Hutchinson Community College has earned a 10-year reaffirmation of accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission, marking a significant milestone for the college.
The Higher Learning Commission is a regional accrediting organization responsible for evaluating the quality and effectiveness of higher education institutions.
HutchCC officials said the 10-year reaffirmation reflects the college’s continued commitment to academic quality, student success, institutional effectiveness, continuous improvement and community outreach.
The comprehensive accreditation process included an extensive evaluation of the college’s operations, academic programs, student services, governance and resources.

HutchCC President Dr. Tricia Paramore said the reaffirmation reflects the work of faculty, staff and administrators to provide students with a quality education and the resources needed to succeed.
“Earning a ten-year reaffirmation of accreditation is a tremendous accomplishment and a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff,” Paramore said. “It demonstrates our commitment to providing students with a high-quality education while continually looking for ways to improve and better serve our students and communities.”
Accreditation provides an independent evaluation of an institution’s academic quality and operations. Reaffirmation means HutchCC has demonstrated that it continues to meet the Higher Learning Commission’s accreditation requirements.
