HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Community College Cosmetology is beginning its annual Back to School Haircuts next week for Nickerson and South Hutchinson district students, because their regular day is on USD 309's first day of school.
Those students can pick up vouchers for appointments from August 8 through 11 at the Nickerson City Office at 15 North Nickerson, South Hutchinson City Office at 2 South Main in South Hutchinson, or the USD 309 District Offices at 4501 West 4th in Hutchinson.
Appointment times are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Students in all other area districts can come to get their hair cut during the regular event, which this year will be Monday, August 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Children in Pre-K through grade 12 are eligible for a free haircut to be performed by HutchCC cosmetology students and volunteer cosmetologists and barbers. No appointment is necessary on the 14th; haircuts will be done on a first come, first served basis.
All haircuts will take place at the school’s center at 200 E. 3rd Ave., Hutchinson.
