LIBERAL, Kan. — Hutchinson dropped to 2-4 on the road this season after trailing Seward 16-1 early.
The Dragons put on a 15-5 run in the second quarter and got back within five before trailing 28-21 at the half.
Hutchinson shook off a slow start and held Seward to 12 points over the final 15:40 of the first half.
The Dragons started the second half even slower than the first as the Lady Saints quickly went on a 12-0 run. Hutchinson got in foul trouble as three Dragons fouled out.
Seward outscored Hutchinson by 10 in the third frame.
Down 17 after three, the Dragons pulled back within 10 before Seward pulled away for good

Sierra Lynch scored 24 for Seward (11-6, 7-4).
Mya Williams paced the Dragons (13-4, 7-4) with 20, half of which came from the charity stripe.
Mel Kailahi posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
