HUTCHINSON, Kan. — One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident near South Hutchinson Wednesday morning.
The Reno County Sheriff’s Department reports that 70-year-old Joye Friesen was going east on Blanchard SW when her van hit a pickup driven by 21-year-old Daniel Hernandez who was going south on Broadacres Road. The Hernandez vehicle then rolled over before coming to rest on its top.
Friesen was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Hernandez was evaluated by EMS but was not transported. He was cited for failure to yield. The accident happened just before 9:30 a.m.
