
Dollie M. Dickey, 86, of Hutchinson, died May 15, 2026, at Legend of Hutchinson. She was born July 4, 1939, to Morris “MV” and Mildred (Neibch) Heiderscheid.
Born on the 4th of July, Dollie was a true firecracker, full of spunk and joy. She loved to read and most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Dollie was also a dedicated cook at St. Paul’s Lutheran School for many years, where she enjoyed caring for and serving students.
On October 3, 1959, she married Charles “Chuck” Dickey in Auburn, Illinois. They shared 66 years of marriage before her death.
Dollie is survived by: husband, Chuck Dickey, of the home; children, Heidie (Keith) Miller of South Carolina, Patti McMurphy of Hutchinson, Gerry (Shelley) Dickey of Georgia; sister, Martha Leonard of Kentucky; daughter-in-law, Sandy Dickey of St. Louis, Missouri; brother-in-law, Robert (Shelia) Dickey of Hutchinson; 11 beloved grandchildren; and five adored great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; cherished son, Richard “Andy” Dickey; and son-in-law, Kelly McMurphy.
Friends may sign her book 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2026, at Legend Senior Living, 2416 Brentwood, Hutchinson.
Private family graveside will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery.
