KANSAS CITY—One person died in an accident just before 5:30p.m. Wednesday in Kansas City, Missouri.
According to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMaratino, a pedestrian was walking southbound towards Sni a Bar Road in between the #1 and #2 lanes of northbound Interstate 435.
A northbound black Ford Focus struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ford was uninjured in the crash. This is fatality #36 compared to #31 at this time last year, according to DiMartino. The accident remains under investigation.
