MCPHERSON, Kan. — According to a Monday release from Chief Chad Mayberry, a person was taken for medical attention from a fire scene early Saturday morning.
Fire crews were called out at 12:32 a.m. Saturday to the 200 block of Mockingbird Lane for a structure fire. MFD responded with two engine companies, a ladder company and a heavy rescue vehicle.
When they got there, crews found smoke and flames showing from a mobile home. Crews made an interior attack on the fire. One person was found inside. That man was taken out and resuscitated by fire crews. He was then taken to McPherson Hospital and then transferred from there to Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita.
The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
