
Robert Wayne “Bob” Williams, 71, of Hutchinson, died July 18, 2023, at Hospice House. He was born February 11, 1952, in St. Joseph, MO, to Howard and Charlyne (Kerns) Williams.
Bob attended schools in St. Joseph, Buhler High School, and Hutchinson Community College. He was a lumber broker for many years for Sitco Lumber, specializing in exotic hardwoods, and he also sold real estate with his wife, Debbi. Bob was most recently employed as a para-professional at McCandless and Morgan elementary schools, where he always had a “joke-of-the-day” to share and was affectionately known as “Mr. Bob.” Bob enjoyed gardening, fishing, woodworking, golf, and tinkering in his garage - he was never not busy. Bob was a member of Crossroads Christian Church.
On February 8, 1969, he married Debbi Sue Flanders, in Hutchinson. She survives.
Also surviving are: his daughters, Shanan Stewart (Wesley), Misti Loyle (Todd), both of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Whitney Deitchler of Hutchinson, Caleb Stewart (Lacie) of Salina, Bailee Stewart, Noah Davis, Harley Loyle, all of Hutchinson; great-grandchildren, Laettner and Langdyn Deitchler; siblings, Ed Williams (Marsha) of Kingman, Steve Williams (Sherry) of Lebanon, MO, Cindy Schmitt (Phil) of Kanopolis, Tammy Stanley (Jason) of Hutchinson; and many extended family members.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Wiley Stewart.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Crossroads Christian Church, 4310 N. Monroe. The service will be livestreamed on the church’s website, ccchutch.com.
Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
