2nd Kansas suspect accused of role in man's murder

SHAWNEE COUNTY–Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal shooting in Topeka have made another arrest

Just before 3:30 p.m. April 18, police responded to report of a shooting in the 900 block of SW 17th Street in Topeka, according to Lt. Ron Ekis.

Officers located an man later identified as 55-year-old Troy Shepard of Topeka suffering from a life threatening gunshot wound. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

On. April 20, police arrested 32-year-old Christopher F. Ray of Topeka in connection with the killing. He is being held on a first degree murder charge.

On Friday police arrested 24-year-old Daniel Gallow for Criminal possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property and Misdemeanor Warrant. While he was still in custody, police asked for additional charges of of Murder in the 1st degree and Criminal Possession of a weapon by a felon in connection with Shepard's killing.
