INMAN, Kan. —The Inman USD 448 Board of Education is partnering with the Kansas Association of School Boards as the board searches for the district’s next superintendent.
The Board of Education will have a special meeting Tuesday night, Jan. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Inman High School library for the board and KASB to go over focus group information related to the superintendent search.
Current leader Scott Friesen will retire on June 30, 2023.
Applications for the vacancy are due January 16, 2023. Screening of superintendent applicants begins January 17, 2023. The district plans to make a hire in February 2023, with the new person's contract to start July 1, 2023.
Friesen is an Inman native and graduated in 1985 and served as junior high and high school principal before becoming superintendent.
