MCPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson County All Schools Day has its full day of activities on Friday, May 10.
"McPherson County All Schools Day started in 1914," said 2024 chairman Kyler Jost. "This is actually the 111th. It started originally as a celebration for eighth graders within the county, to basically celebrate, in most cases, that they were done with their education. In 1914, a lot of McPherson County students didn't go on to high school. That was kind of the end of a lot of their educational journeys. This was a way for them to be celebrated."
