Arlene Hoover, 84, of Medicine Lodge, KS, died Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at her residence.
She was born on December 30, 1939 in Lyons, KS, the daughter of Russell West and Jessie (Haden) West Killion. On July 15, 1955, she married Truman D. Hoover in Chase, KS. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2012.
Arlene was a homemaker and a member of the Christian Science faith.
Surviving are four children, Jo (Galen) Wedman of Medicine Lodge, KS, Rusty (Charlene) Hoover of Drumright, OK, Tammy (Trey) Cook of Drumright, OK, and Sherry (Terry) Barnes of Sapulpa, OK; grandchildren, Justin (Chelsea) Boor, Shawna (Corey) Schultz, Shane (Kristal) Strasburg, Shawn (Brie) Strasburg, Mac Cook, Erin Cook, Savanna (Jacob) Zinn, Alan (Rachael) Hoover, Kyle (Chelsea) Hoover, Courtney (Edward) Crandall, Justin (Michaela) Chandler, Jace Chandler, and Kristie (Mike) Isham; 19 great grandchildren and one on the way; one great great grandchild; three brothers, Bob (Marie) West, Mike (Pam) Killion, and Gary (Debbie) Killion.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son-in-law, Steve Strasburg and daughter-in-law, Dee Ann Hoover.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, KS. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Walters officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Euchee Valley Memorial Park, Cushing, Oklahoma with Pastor Mark Jackson officiating.
