Michael Lee Godwin  |1976-2022| 

Michael Lee Godwin, 46, of Mcpherson, passed away at 3:15 p.m, Tuesday, September 13th, 2022 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.

Michael was born in McPherson, on August 20, 1976, a son of Allen Ray Brown and Judith Diane (Hill) Godwin and was adopted in 1980.

Michael attended McPherson grade schools, McPherson Junior High and graduated from McPherson High School, McPherson. He then attended Bethany College on a football and track scholarship, Lindsborg, Kansas where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Science in 1998.

Michael was the owner and operator of Mac Movers Moving Company in McPherson.

Michael Lee Godwin was united in marriage Jesse Jo Jones on June 3, 2000 in Canton. This union was blessed with the birth of two daughters and a son Peyton and Kenzee and Jace.

He is survived by his wife, Jesse Godwin, of McPherson; his daughters, Peyton Turner and Kenzee Godwin, of McPherson; his son, Jace Godwin, of McPherson; hisbrother Matt Godwin, of McPherson. and his Dad, Allen Brown.

Michael enjoyed and loved the KC Chiefs, fishing, grilling, Peyton's art work, all the kids sporting events, traveling and spending time with his friends and family.

He is also survived by 1 grandson, Wilder Turner.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Godwin, his grandparents, Fred and Betty Hill and adopted father Jim Godwin.

A celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Glidden - Ediger Chapel in McPherson.

Burial will be at a later date.
