Earl Oscar Pike, 60, of Arlington, died April 17, 2024, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born February 25, 1964, in Hutchinson, to Darrel Dwayne and Vina May (Dyche) Pike.
Oscar worked as a driver for Gravel & Concrete Inc., Nickerson, for 5 years. He worked for Concrete Enterprises for 19 years. He was also a custom cutter for Rick Maynard. He had a wood business with Bill Bailey, W E B Firewood, he was part owner of Cheney Ready Mix, for 5 years, and Kingman Ready Mix, for 7 years. He grew in Arlington and Partridge. He traveled to roping events and enjoyed riding his dirt bike. He was an avid KU and Chiefs fan, and enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and an immaculate yard. Oscar will be remembered for his most unique sense of humor and how he was always supporting his family when they asked.
On November 15, 1985, he married Cheryl Soukup, in Kingman. He raised Cheryl’s daughter, Jennifer as his own, in Kingman, KS. They divorced in January 14, 2003.
On June 10, 2003, he married the love of his life, Terri Rae Halfmoon Stanton, in Hutchinson.
Oscar is survived by: his wife of over 20 years, Terri Pike of Arlington; daughter, Jennifer Sharp, and son, Christopher Jenkins, both of Hutchinson, and daughter, Charleen Jenkins (Michael Rivers) of Wichita; grandson, Jamie Sharp of Hutchinson; sister, Jo Shelton (Tom) of Arlington; brother, Dwayne Pike of Arizona; in-laws, Rita and David Jamison of Moundridge; and sisters-in-law, Angela Smith (Chuck) of Burrton and Samantha Richter (Ryan) of Newton
He had many cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He enjoyed being an uncle, great uncle, and a great-great uncle. He joked about who was his favorite niece, between Margo and Megan.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Sheryl Childs; brother-in-law, Kirk Stanton; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Partridge Cemetery, Partridge, with Pastor Greg Bontrager officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
