HARVEY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 9 a.m. Saturday in Harvey County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Chevy Cruze driven by Andrea McCurter, 48, Raymore, Missouri, was southbound on Interstate 135 six miles south of Newton.
The car struck a deer that entered the roadway causing airbag deployment.
EMS transported a passenger Erik McCurter, 36, Raymore, Missouri to Wesley Medical Center. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The driver was not injured.
