HAVEN, Kan. — The city of Haven hopes to lift a boil water advisory later today (Monday) that was put in place last week.
The advisory was necessary after a 12-inch water main at the base of the city’s water tower ruptured on Friday. The break interrupted water service to the entire community for about 20 minutes.
According to Haven Public Works, test samples taken Saturday showed no contamination in the system and they are waiting for the go ahead from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to lift the advisory.
