CLAY COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 4p.m. Thursday in Clay County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Toyota 4Runner driven by Michael F.. Ketchens, 65, Russell, was eastbound on 4th Road one quarter mile east of Kiowa Road. The SUV entered the south ditch and the driver overcorrected. The vehicle returned to the road and rolled once.
Ketchens was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
