Winger for County Commission
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Respected Community Member Richard Winger announced Monday that he has filed for Reno County Commissioner in District 4.
Winger shared, “I have contemplated serving my community as an elected official for many years. I have received nothing but continued encouragement and support these past few months, so I decided the time was right for me to run.”
Winger is excited for this opportunity and will focus on problem solving and building relationships with fellow commissioners and departments.
Winger continued, “People become frustrated when they feel those representing them won’t listen or have a personal agenda to push. I have no agenda except to serve with humility, being responsive to my community, and making sure our county is the best it can be.”
Winger has been a resident of Hutchinson for 50 years. He has been married to his wife, Kathy, for 26 years. Together they have 4 grown children and 13 grandchildren.
