It is with a profound sense of loss that we share the news of Joyce Marie Yutzy’s passing. She left us peacefully in the early hours of Friday, January 12, 2024, at 12:45 a.m. in her home. Joyce's life was a beacon of faith and love, and while we grieve our loss, we also find comfort in the hope of her being in a place of peace.
Joyce was born February 7, 1965, in Middlefield, OH, to Alfred J. and Mary Ann (Hochstetler) Yoder. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to being a homemaker, deeply valuing and cherishing those around her. Joyce had a passion for gardening, an adoration for flowers, and a talent for quilting. All who knew her will remember and treasure her caring heart and kindness.
Joyce accepted Christ in her youth. She later attended Cedar Crest Amish Mennonite Church, Hutchinson.
On August 31, 1991, she married Kenneth ‘Ken’ Lee Yutzy in Franklin, KY. Together, they celebrated over 32 years of a loving and devoted marriage, cherishing each moment until her passing.
Joyce is survived by her: husband, Ken of Hutchinson; son, Benjamin Ray Yutzy of Hutchinson; brothers, LaVerne (Mary) Yoder of Malta, OH, James ‘Jim’ (Naomi) Yoder of Columbia, NC, and Leon (Anita) Yoder of Wamego, KS; sister-in-law, Christina Yoder of Hiddenite, NC; sister, Grace Yoder of Hutchinson; and adopted brother, Anthony McCormick of Elkton, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Samuel Yoder.
