Arrest made in relation to incident outside Rusty Needle

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Police have made an arrest related to an incident outside the Rusty Needle earlier this week.

According to information provided by Lt. Dustin Loepp, officers were sent just after midnight Monday morning to the establishment at 1808 North Plum.

The Rusty Needle was locked down while police investigated. Two people told them that a man brandished and pointed a handgun at them. 

The investigation revealed that later, as the suspect was leaving the parking lot in a vehicle, he fired a series of shots into the air. 

There were no injuries reported as a result of the shots fired.  

Thursday afternoon  at 1:40 p.m. while continuing the investigation detectives located the suspect at a residence in Hutchinson. 

Police then arrested 32-year-old Ignacio Enriquez of Hutchinson for 1) Aggravated Criminal Threat, 2) Aggravated Assault X2, 3) Criminal discharge of a firearm within the city limits.

All suspects are considered innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

This case is still under investigation, and this is all the information that is being released at this time.
