HUTCHINSON, Kan.— The Emanuel Lutheran Church and Trinity United Methodist Church will hold the next Emergency Food Assistance or TEFAP distribution on Sunday, March 19.

The distribution is from 2 to 3:30 p.m., at the former Dillon Living Center, 1901 E. 23rd. The program is for low-income people of all ages.

TEFAP commodities are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no need to pre-register. Those receiving assistance are not allowed to pick up boxes for anyone else.

The distribution creates long lines of vehicles along Waldron so those in line are asked to form a single line and not block off driveways to area businesses.

The distribution which was moved to monthly during the pandemic serves about 300 boxes of food each month.
