HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Commissioners will hold their public hearing on the 2022 budget during Tuesday’s agenda session.
The proposed budget totals $80.7 million on total taxes levied of $ 25.3 million. The mill levy for the year will fall from 41.599 mills to 39.498. That’s more than half a mill under the revenue neutral rate.
The special districts, which include rural fire, water and sewer districts, will exceed the revenue neutral rate and a hearing will be held on that matter on Tuesday right after the public hearing on the regular budget.
The total budget for the special districts is $4.9 million on total taxes levied of $3.4 million. The mill levy will go up 15 mills to 161.2.
Tuesday’s meeting of the Reno County Commission begins at 9 a.m. at the Reno County Annex.
