Former South Hutchinson City Manager Joe Turner’s podcast, “City Manager Unfiltered,” ranks 16th in the country on the Apple Podcasts Chart for the Government category after publishing just three episodes.
Launched June 14th, it took just eleven days for it to become the highest ranked “local government” focused podcast in the country as followers eagerly embraced his authentic and candid opinions about city management and local government.
Turner's sharp opinions and willingness to stand up for city managers has endeared him to a community of public sector executives who often feel like their voices and perspectives go unheard.

Turner recently stepped down from the city manager's position in South Hutchinson. His official resignation date is July 15, as he is using up his accrued vacation. South Hutchinson hired Jeff Schenk as Turner's replacement. He began June 5.
