HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The new owner of Sutton-Kauffman Transmission is benefitting from seed money through StartUp Hutch.
AJ Williams was able to procure a $175,000 Economic Development Administration Loan for his small business purchase, turning his dreams of opening AJ's Auto Repair into a reality.
"I was lucky enough to find a business opportunity doing something that I love in the community that I love,” Williams said. “Being able to give back to the community by keeping a local business open is just a bonus.”
StartUp Hutch is a spinoff of what was once the Quest Center and provides assistance and finance avenues for starting or expanding small businesses in Hutchinson.
