HAVEN, Kan. — Haven Grade School 2nd Grade Teacher Mr. Braiden Allen took a call from Dr. Randy Watson on Thursday.
The Kansas Commissioner of Education let him know he has been selected as a 2024 Kansas Horizon Award Winner.
Thirty-two second year teachers are selected. Four elementary classroom teachers and four secondary classroom teachers from each region, will be individually recognized during a luncheon at the Kansas Exemplary Educators Network conference.
Allen will also be invited to participate as a special guest in the two-day KEEN conference.
