Thomas Foulkrod born August 8, 1936, the first-born child of Edward Philip Foulkrod and Prudence Lucille Warner Foulkrod in Troy, PA.
He attended various schools, graduated from Troy High School in 1954. He attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL where he met the
love of his life, L Beverly Gregg. They married June 17, 1956 in Columbia City, IN and celebrated 65 years of marriage this last June.
To this union were born James Thomas, William Edwin and
Esther Lynn. Thomas throughout his life has been a Jack of all trades in carpentry and construction. He has been a dairy farmer, realtor, landlord and teacher. He started his teaching career in the New Carsile-Bethel school district as an Industrial Arts instructor and finished his
30 year career at Springfield South School district as a business, math, computer and drafting teacher. Tom Foulkrod had graduated from Cedarville College in 1970, completed course work at Ohio State University and completed his Masters at Wilberforce University.
Tom and Bev moved from Cedarville in 1999 to Medicine Lodge, to be closer to family. Tom loved reading - his habit was to read through the Bible yearly in different translations. Besides reading, he loved to start projects, putter, yard sale and collect. They were in the process of
moving to Buda TX to start a new adventure closer to his oldest son when he suddenly passed.
Thomas Foulkrod was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio before transferring his affiliation to Community Bible Fellowship in Medicine Lodge. He served as a Communion Meditation speaker, giving his last mediation on January 23, 2022. He served faithfully on the board of the Freedom Gates Boys Ranch for many years.
He is survived by his Beloved, L. Beverly Foulkrod of the home. Siblings Joyce (LaRue) Garrison, Elmira, NY, Robert (Shelia) Foulkrod Troy, PA, Sister-in-laws Laramie Niccum, Middlebury, IN and Peg (Larry) Montgomery. Children Jim (Dorcas) Foulkrod, Buda, TX, William Foulkrod Medicine Lodge, Esther (Todd) Ash of Preston. Grandchildren: Maria (Michael) Conley, Batavia, OH, step-grandson Matthew Claxton, Leander, TX, Allision Foulkrod, Medicine Lodge, Adam (Samantha) Foulkrod, Houston, TX, Leah (Jordan) White, Dallas, Texas, Caleb Ash,
Grandview, MO, David (Jessica) Foulkrod, Pooler, GA, Jayme Foulkrod, Hampton VI, Elizabeth Ash, Portland, Oregon, Joshua Ash, stationed in Hawaii. Great-grandchildren: Tyisha, Tyler, Mavrick Conley, Kayden and Corbin Claxton, Abbigayle Young, Noah Foulkrod, Emma and Mia
White and Elgin and Adaline Foulkrod.
Preceded in death by his parents and daughters-in-law Trisha Marie Jones Foulkrod and JoyceAnn Nix Foulkrod.
Thomas will always be remembered for his collecting ways, reading his Bible and lifelong teaching. Thomas used his teaching experience to get his grandson Adam through his engineering education.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
