HUTCHINSON, Kan. — While the gun range will be at the center of attention, the Reno County Commission and Hutchinson City Council will go over a short list of law enforcement matters when they hold a joint meeting on Tuesday.

The meeting stems from an ongoing disagreement over the use of the gun practice range located on the southeast side of town. There have been many questions over use of the site and who will be in charge of the shooting range.

The two sides will also discuss 911 communications and the law enforcement center which was recently remodeled. The two sides will also set a date for a future meeting on Tuesday.

The city and county have several different areas where they share in the costs of upkeep or expenses and it's the disagreement over the gun range that has brought cost sharing to light.

Tuesday's meeting will follow the county commission meeting at 11:30 a.m. at the Reno County Annex conference room.
