
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The number of active COIVID cases jumped by 37 since Monday, forcing Buhler USD 313 to go to remote learning at one building and implementing restrictions at another.
As of Thursday, the active case count stands at 217, up from 180 on Monday. The number of new cases has increased by 75 since Monday.
The total case count is now 10,691. Just under 50% of the residents in Reno County have had at least one vaccination as the health department prepares to begin vaccinations for youth on Monday. The death toll stands at 169, or 1.5% of those who have contracted COVID. There are currently four hospitalizations in the county.
