Police arrest 5th in drug distribution case

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Police took a Hutchinson man into custody Wednesday evening on drug distribution charges stemming from a search of his home last month.

Maurice Miles Jr. was taken into custody on a warrant for drug possession and paraphernalia charges. He was also arrested on suspicion of counterfeiting.

The Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant on Miles' residence at 724 W. 1st on Feb. 23. Miles was not at home, but the DEU found drugs and paraphernalia along with photocopied currency. Authorities arrested Richard Warren, Sean Clark, Anthoney Everhart and John Nelson at the residence.  

Miles is being held on a bond of $100,000. Formal charges should be filed in the coming days.
