HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County community is invited to attend United.Read.Connect! on Sun., May 19th from 1 to3 p.m. at Gowans Stadium. Sponsored by Cargill and hosted by United Way of Reno County and the Hutchinson Public Library, this event will feature giveaways, signup opportunities and information from 40 community partners.
Event participants will have the opportunity to:
• Take home FREE, new scholastic books for young readers (more than 1000 books will be available)
• Receive a FREE box of food from the Reno County Food Bank
• Touch-a-Truck with police, fire and sheriff’s offices
• Take home a new outfit for FREE from the Magic Clothes Bus
• Get your face painted
• Have fun in a bouncy house obstacle course, and more
Healthy snacks and water will also be available.
