HUTCHINSON, Kan.—The Hutchinson Monarchs certainly made their 2nd home game after nearly a week lay-off exciting as they gave up 2 runs in the top of the ninth to the Derby Twins on Monday night and trailed 3-2 before the heroics in the bottom of the 9th. A throwing error allowed Caden Green to score the tying run with 1 out in the bottom of the ninth. That set up Sterling Sutcliff with the opportunity on a 1-1 count to stroke a single to right to score Garrett Anglim to score from 3rd allowing Hutch to win in a walk-off!

Sutcliff, a Dallas, Texas native ended the night 1-4, but got the big RBI when the Monarchs needed it.

Ryan Stuemphig came on in relief, but hit two Twins in the top of the inning.  Both players scored on a David Silva double to give Derby the 3-2 lead.  Stuemphig earned the win after Sutcliff's base hit RBI sealed the win. Zack Travino took the loss for Derby.

The Monarchs travel to Derby for road games Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Both teams return to Hobart Detter Field on Saturday. Eagle Radio will again stream the Saturday game vs Derby on Hutch Post.
