HUTCHINSON, Kan. — StartUp Hutch and NetWork Kansas are partnering to offer Reno County businesses a scholarship to attend Jon Schallert’s Destination BootCamp. The scholarship covers $800 of the $995 tuition and includes three days of virtual lectures, interactive events, and learning.

Schallert’s BootCamp offers a 14-step process that teaches businesses how to become Consumer Destinations, preferred over their competitors.

Attendees will also have the opportunity of receiving one-on-one consulting time and follow-up sessions from BootCamp Graduates. The 2021 spring calendar has been set for March 2-4, April 6-8 and May 25-27.

Application requirements to be considered for the scholarship include the following:

1) Two checks, payable to StartUp Hutch. One for $195, which will cover the remainder of the tuition, and one for $800, which StartUp Hutch will hold until you’ve completed the class, at which time it will be voided and returned to you.

2) Business Plan

3) Mission Statement and Vision

4) Essay (limit to one Page)

“Several Reno County businesses have participated in the training over the years and we continue to hear good feedback on their experience,” Jackson Swearer, entrepreneur navigator and program director at StartUp Hutch, said. “We know some small businesses have had a tough year but are poised for a bright future. We hope the scholarships open the door to more participation.”
