
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Dillon Nature Center will be hosting a lecture it hopes will provide information on how to better protect your home from wildfire. Taylor’s Shady Lane Lecture will host the event on Thursday, Sept. 29, from 5:30 until 7 p.m. at the nature center.
Dennis Carlson from the Kansas Forest Service will look into the wildland fires in the Hutchinson area and show participants hands-on examples of what can be done to reduce risk of wildfire damage or loss.
A light dinner is included in the fee and will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m. The program will begin at 6 p.m.
The cost to attend is $15 for DNC members and $20 for non-members. For more information, contact the Dillon Nature Center at 620-663-7411.
