HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The number of active COVID cases increased from Friday’s total. According to figures released Monday morning from the Reno County Health Department, the number of active COVID cases is at 1,266, an increase of 46. That’s still less that the latest peak of 1,342 on Jan. 20.
The total number of cases jumped by 405, from Friday to 16,055. Since the pandemic began 205 county residents have died from COVID.
The vaccination rate did increase over the weekend with 53.24% of county residents vaccinated or 33,243 total.
