Carroll Donald Hoefer, 88, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2024, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born September 14, 1935, in Hutchinson, KS, to Orval ‘Hap’ Hoefer and Alma (Robison) Hoefer.
On August 20, 1955, Carroll married Rose Marie Hatten at First Baptist Church, Hutchinson, KS. They shared over 68 years of marriage.
Carroll is survived by: his wife, Rose Hoefer of Hutchinson, KS; son, Stephen (Brenda) Hoefer of Hutchinson, KS; grandchildren, Brandi Hemphill, Jonathon (Tiffani) Hoefer, Ashley Hoefer, Phillip Hoefer, Crimson (Jeff) Kellogg, and Brianna Hoefer; six great-grandchildren; and brothers, Mike (Jill) Hoefer and Pat (Melva) Hoefer.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; son, Tim Hoefer; daughter, Ruth Ann Hoefer; brother, Phillip and wife Ileine Hoefer; and grandson-in-law, Brian Hemphill.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, at Westside Baptist Church, 400 W. 12th Street, Hutchinson, KS. Burial will follow in Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS. Military honors will be conducted by the Kansas Army National Guard. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Elliott Mortuary.
