SEDGWICK COUNTY—A Kansas man charged in a crash a crash that killed a motorcyclist in 2025 was back in court this week.
Brian Adrian, 61, Wichita, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of vehicular homicide and a felony count of aggravated battery while driving under the influence, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office.
He was originally charged with felony involuntary manslaughter.
Just after 7p.m. October 17, police responded to a crash involving a sedan and a motorcycle at West 42nd Street South and South Seneca in Wichita, according to a media release. First responders located a motorcyclist identified as 27-year-old Bryce Rowland, who was pronounced deceased at the scene
Preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of a sedan, identified as Adrian, was traveling north on Seneca and attempting to make a left turn onto 42nd Street. The motorcyclist was traveling south on Seneca when the sedan turned and struck him.
The Wichita Police Critical Accident Follow up Team was activated and AFU Detectives responded to the scene. Police arrested Adrian. He has been in jail on a $200,000 bond since his arrest.
